Freshman ACADEMIC SCHEDULE
Colleges want to see that you have challenged yourself all four years of high school. While freshman year is the beginning of high school, students who are seeking admissions into a selective university must begin taking a rigorous curriculum. Below are the suggested tracks for three of the four core subjects. Consult these maps when deciding which classes to take next.

Note that these schedules are generalities and are not specific to each student. Only the core classes, along with foreign language, are covered in the schedule. Be sure to take an art class, computer graphics, band, or chorus to fulfill the art credit. However, if you are an artist, musician, graphic designer, or future computer science major, be sure to include more of your respective interest into your schedule. It would also be wise to chat with the respective department to ensure that you can best prepare for your future. Here are some sample schedules for students seeking admission at either a selective college, want a challenging schedule, or would like a lighter high school course load.
